IE rendering modes

This may well be documented elsewhere, but I thought I'd post it here anyway. As most people who develop with CSS regularly will know, there are two 'rendering modes' in most browsers: standards compliant and quirks. Standards compliant is what we like to use, because behaviour tends to be more predictable.

Anyway, this post is about checking what mode is being used in Internet Explorer easily. Firefox can tell you this in the 'Page Info' window. I just knocked up this little bookmarklet — just right-click and select 'Add to favorites...'. You'll get a security warning, because the link is a snippet of JavaScript, but it's all safe, I promise!
